City of Hermosa Beach |
Proposed Oil Drilling & Recovery Project
Serving as the interim Public Information Officer for the City of Hermosa Beach, we ensured that the greater community was notified of all public review information in relation to the draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR), Cost Benefits Analysis and Health Impact Assessment for the proposed E&B Oil Drilling and Recovery Project.
During the sixty day public review period of the draft documents, we engaged the community to participate in educating themselves on the facts of the documents by proactively engaging media with updates on presentations hosted by the City. We also utilized an integrated communications outreach program that included community mailers, newsletters and Robocall updates of important meeting dates.
Healthways | The Blue Zones Project
The Blue Zones Project, a service of Healthways, is a
community well-being improvement initiative designed to make healthy choices easier through permanent changes in environment, policy, and social networks.
The Blue Zones Project works in partnership with Beach Cities Health District to serve the Los Angeles Beach Cities (Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach).
In order to communicate the impact of the program,we worked with the Nashville-based communications team to showcase the program's success in Los Angeles by securing interviews with key media targets including The Los Angeles Times and the Los Angeles Business Journal, working closely with journalists to introduce the project's substantial community changes and well-being improvement to residents.
