City of Hermosa Beach | Winter 2014
City of Hermosa Beach |
Proposed Oil Drilling & Recovery Project
Serving as the interim Public Information Officer for the City of Hermosa Beach, we ensured that the greater community was notified of all public review information in relation to the draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR), Cost Benefits Analysis and Health Impact Assessment for the proposed E&B Oil Drilling and Recovery Project.
During the sixty day public review period of the draft documents, we engaged the community to participate in educating themselves on the facts of the documents by proactively engaging media with updates on presentations hosted by the City. We also utilized an integrated communications outreach program that included community mailers, newsletters and Robocall updates of important meeting dates.

Benir Beauty | BV-9
Worked alongside creative director and founder of the company, we crafted the brand messaging and media collateral for Benir Beauty (www.benirbeauty.com), skincare's first 100% active ingredient beauty cream created with injectable grade bee venom.
The media relations strategy and influencer engagement for Benir's signature product, BV-9 Platinum daily moisturizing cream, resulted in favorable reviews among beauty bloggers and earned the debut product an award of "Best New Moisturizer of 2013" from Fashion Affair magazine.

Why Knot? | Indiegogo Crowdfunding
Critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker Dhruv Dhawan (From Dust) knew that his passion project film exploring the topic of monogamy and its current role in society would need untraditional support to fund its completion.
Dhawan turned to crowdfunding via Indiegogo to support the uncompleted film titled “WHY KNOT?”.
Through strategic media relations outreach targeting men's and women's lifestyle media, we secured wide-ranging interest featuring news of the film's independent funding campaign and its necessity to break the silence on the discussions of monogamy. The campaign exceeded contributions by more than $10,000 and is expected to be completed in 2014.
